Our Philosophy

Wisdom begins with wonder - by Socrates

To cherish the joy of families and the many different ways they come to us.

With Te Whaariki and Kei Tua o te Pae as guidelines, we recognise that each and every child is competent and capable, and we will adapt our pedagogy to support all learning. Theorists of human behaviour, Piaget, Vygotsky and Bronfennrenner, underpin our assessment and evaluation of children's learning.

Children's expressive art work

The children used 'crayon and dye' to create their own expressive art work. The children had their own individual ideas working both independently and collaboratively. Visual art is a way for children to express their self-identity, thinking and interpretation of the world around them.

  1. Good job, Cheryl. You have done well to get to know the children at Learning Curves and this is just one way that you have chosen to find out each child's interest and display his/her expressive art in such a beautiful, creative way.
