Our Philosophy

Wisdom begins with wonder - by Socrates

To cherish the joy of families and the many different ways they come to us.

With Te Whaariki and Kei Tua o te Pae as guidelines, we recognise that each and every child is competent and capable, and we will adapt our pedagogy to support all learning. Theorists of human behaviour, Piaget, Vygotsky and Bronfennrenner, underpin our assessment and evaluation of children's learning.

Jo's Whiwhi Tohu Matauranga

Today was a special day for our Jo. Ann and co at Learning Curves had arranged a surprise for her. Next week will be her graduation, a big day for her, and today was her Maori graduation, a day of honour that became somewhat overwhelming for her.

Carole, Jo's lecturer from Unitec, came with special gifts for Jo to thank her for all her help that she had offered to her fellow students throughout her time as a student at Unitec. A fitting tribute was recorded below for our colleague as we attempted to share a special day with her.

Congratulations Jo, we are SO VERY proud of you and thank you Carole and Kahukura for making this day so memorable for Jo and the rest of us.
